Katy Hubener

As a former Justice of the Peace, Judge Katy Hubener knows how to maneuver a courthouse.  Twice elected as the Justice of the Peace in Dallas County, Katy led one of the busiest courts in the State of Texas where she heard a heavy docket of criminal and civil cases, including evictions.  She is frequently appointed Temporary Justice of the Peace, sitting as a visiting Judge.

Katy is a native of Southwest Dallas County and Duncanville, Texas. She is a graduate of Duncanville High School.She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Texas Tech University and a Master of Arts degree from Claremont Graduate University.

Katy is a long-time Realtor and Founding Partner of Crescent Real Estate Group.She along with her mother, Ann, opened the firm more than fifteen years ago.Together they were repeatedly appointed Receiver to manage and sell properties involved in courthouse disputes.

Katy and her mom were both Past Presidents of Southwest Dallas County Women’s Council of Realtors and both earned the prestigious award of Entrepreneur of the Year.

Katy is married to her business partner David E McKamie, they have two children, one grandchild, and two unruly dogs.
